This project explores volume as a design tool, working within tight site constraints and economic limitations. Designed for an owner with precise considerations, the space invites visitors from an urban street into a “wow moment” created by a skylight that channels light and uplifts the spirit. The front of the property serves as a guest or office space, while the private residence sits above and features a roof deck. In a neighborhood where every building says, “Look at me,” this project’s goal was to disappear, blending seamlessly into its surroundings.
